Dear iFit and McStas users,<br>

The version 1.3 of iFit is out today Nov 29th 2012. Here is a short
list of changes:<br>

MarCCD, Roper SPE</a> <a
href="http://www.adsc-xray.com/products.html">ADSC</a> X-ray
CCD, added to the wide set of text and binary import formats

<li>Export to <a
href="http://www.web3d.org/x3d/specifications/x3d_specification.html">X3D</a>,
fix for some text file import, added to the wide set of text and
binary export formats already available.</li>
<li>Support for the <a
href="http://www.mathworks.com/products/parallel-computing/">Parallel
Computing Toolbox</a> (when available)</li>
<li>Improved interpolation, added <span style="font-style:
italic;">meshgrid</span>, <span style="font-style: italic;">rotate,
</span>radial integration (<a
href="http://ifit.mccode.org/Math.html#mozTocId439767"><span
style="font-style: italic;">cart2sph</span></a>) iData
methods</li>
<li>Save object history as script file (for replay).</li>
<li>Better support for event files</li>
<li>Added save method for iFunc models to m/mat-files. </li>
<li>Added simple models for <a
href="http://ifit.mccode.org/Models.html#mozTocId285330">small
angle scattering</a> form factors and structure factors. </li>
<li>Improved <a href="http://ifit.mccode.org/McStas.html">McStas</a>/McXtrace
support. </li>
<li>Embedded help system, array and graphics editor in <a
href="http://ifit.mccode.org/iFit.html">standalone</a>
version. </li>

with <b>source</b> code, as well as <b>standalone</b> version
(does not require a Matlab license). The standalone version provides
a Matlab prompt with most of the Matlab capabilities plus iFit.<br>
Windows 64bit standalone archive will be released later. Use the
32bit version instead in the mean while.<br>

<blockquote><u><i>For new users:</i></u><br>
<i>The </i><i><span style="font-weight: bold;">iFit</span></i><i>
library (pronounce [</i><i>eye-fit</i><i>]) is a set of methods
to load, analyze, plot, fit and
optimize models, and export results. </i><i>iFit</i><i>
is based on </i><i><a href="http://www.mathworks.com">Matlab</a></i><i>.
It does not currently include advanced graphical user interfaces
(GUI),
and rather focuses on </i><i>doing the math
right</i><i>.
Any text file can be imported straight away, and a set of
binary files
are supported. Any data dimensionality can be handled, including
event
based data sets. Any model can be assembled for fitting data
sets.</i><br>
<br>
<i>The spirit of the library is to include single object
definitions,
with a set of methods that provide all the means to perform the
usual data analysis procedures.</i><br>
<i><br>
</i><i>iFit allows to run and optimise McStas/McXtrace
simulations.</i><br>
