New mailing list for neutron simulation

Dear participant in the Monte Carlo RTD Workshop at Risø Oct. 30,

At the MC Workshop, it was agreed that Risø would set up a web site and
a mailing list for communication and collaboration between the various
efforts in Monte Carlo simulation of neutron scattering. The site is now
up, and you have been added to the mailing list "neutron-mc".

To send messages to the list, write email to the address

The possible subjects of e-mails posted to this list include 

- Announcements of new software releases, results, papers, etc.
- Discussion of simulation techniques for neutron scattering.
- Discussion on the use of particular simulation programs.
- Anything else related to Monte Carlo simulation of neutron scattering.

We suggest that questions on the use of McStas be directed to this
list, rather than directly to the McStas authors. This will enable other
people with interest in McStas to benefit from the discussion or
contribute with answers. The list is archived on the World-Wide-Web at
the address

where old messages posted to the list may be browsed or searched using a
full-text search engine.

We also invite discussions of other programs. It is our hope that this
list will provide a forum for many different approaches to simulation,
and not be restricted to the Risø program McStas.
