Ok, I looked at the problem. It seems that you may have a version
problem with your perl installation. You have two versions installed:

  /progs/gnu/bin/perl (version 5.004)
  /progs/perl (version 5.005)

The PGPLOT interface does not work with /progs/gnu/bin/perl, but it does
work with /progs/perl. My guess is that PGPLOT was installed for the
newer version and hence does not work with the old one.

On my account, and hence presumably other accounts as well, the
/progs/gnu/bin/perl version is first in the path, so when McStas is
installed it chooses this version. I think that if /procs/perl is first
in the path then a reinstall of McStas will fix the problems. I was able
to succesfully run the graphics version of McStas using the correct perl
version.

Incidentally, the gcc compiler in /progs/gnu/bin also seems to have
problems.

Please ask again if you have any questions or the problem persists.

 - Kristian.
