Unfortunately, you are mostly on your own here. We do not use Windows
for McStas simulations at Risø and cannot easily support that platform
because of its poor compatibility.

Users outside of Risø have successfully compiled and run McStas on
Windows (using Microsoft Visual C++ I believe). You can check the
mailing list for details:

You should also try to ask for help on the mailing list (send mail to
neutron-mc at risoe.dk).

Alternatively, you could install Linux on the PC. For example, Debian
GNU/Linux (http://www.debian.org/) works very well with McStas.

The only requirement (for windows or any other platform) is a standard
ANSI C compiler (GCC or Visual C++ should work fine).
