Just to let you know…
Peter saved himself and me a lot of time 😊
Increasing the buffer size (--bufsiz=BUFSIZ     Monitor_nD list/buffer-size (defaults to 10000000)) solved the problem
for my install of 3.5.24. I still think something in the guts of how the events collected in Monitor_nD are processed
is different in 5.24 compared to 5.23 but that shall no be my problem at the moment!
