No attachments to neutron-mc

Dear McStas user,

We kindly ask users of the neutron-mc email list not to attach files to
emails sent to the list. There are several reasons:

i) The sendmail procedure actually makes a copy of the email for each
member on the list before they are sent. Since there are approximately
80 users on the list, not too large attachments would possibly cause
problems.

ii) The size of the archive of emails will increase much more rapidly if
large attachments are included frequently. The intention is that the
email archive should work for a very long time.

iii) For example at Risø, there are quite a few users on the email list.
It will not take too many emails of reasonable size to fill our local
mail spooler in the lab, for example during a weekend.

iv) There is a working alternative and that is to put files in the
"public directory", where the users interested may download the files.

Obviously, there are not any problems so far, but I think we should be
restrictive from the start.

Best regards,

Per-Olof Åstrand
