Hi again,

I forgot to mention that ssw2mcpl / MCPL itself has support for most MCNP/MCNPX versions since v5, but please talk to the the team ( https://mctools.github.io/mcpl/contact/ ) if something is not working as expected.

1) Use the ssw2mcpl tool (distributed with McStas since ~ 2.3 if I remember correctly) on your wssa to generate an mcpl-file (perhaps the original MCNP deck is required)

2) Use MCPL_input on your newly generated mcpl-file


In fact we are likely to completely drop support for older event-file formats and related components within the next couple of releases.

Has anyone used the “Virtual_mcnp_ss_input” component with wssa  (rssa) files generated with MCNP version 6.2? I guess the file format has changed from version 5 as I get the following error:

At line 63 of file neutronics-subs.f (unit = 123, file = 'rssa')
Fortran runtime error: I/O past end of record on unformatted file

Any recommendations?
